Excellent! I am going on my first saltwater fly fishing trip this March and I wanted to tie some flies for bonefish. This book has some easy to follow patterns (in color) plus, as an added bonus, a fly tying short course at the beginning. This book is a must for anyone interested in saltwater fly fishing.

This is a very useful work which illustrates on a step-by-step basis the tying techniques and materials needed to create the core patterns of modern saltwater flies. All fly tyers, no matter their level of sophistication, would be well served to keep this volume within arms reach of their tying bench.

Excellent How-To Book June 2, 2010 Joel Stansbury (Lexington, Ky) I have been tying flies for about 40 something years. I tied everything But Saltwater flies. Recently had a friend retire to Bonita Springs, Fla.who bought a boat and fishes everyday of the year. He invited me to go down there last year and now I am hooked on Saltwater fishing. I bought this book to learn how to tie various patterns.I also bought several other books on the subject. This is the Best How-To book out there. It even covers weed guards.
Once you learn the basic types in this book, you can let your imagination take over. I was really impressed with the detail of the step by step instructions. I have taught fly tying for several years, and I feel qualified to judge good basic instructional techniques. This book has it!!!!!Kudos to the authors!!
Joel Stansbury
