Product Description Stroup's seven common-sense principles along with the illustrations by Dave Hall take a lot of the frustrating guesswork out of what many consider a difficult sport.

| Customer Reviews: simple but valuable July 28, 2010 knight The author Eric Stroup holds a vast high level of knowledge of both fly fishing and Central Pa. streams. He has delivered what he calls 7 simple lessons. I call it 7 valuable lessons that can lead you to more productive days on the stream. The auther does not overwhelm you with technique that will be forgotten or misunderstood. He tells it in a way that the reader will grasp the instructions and then put them to work.
Good Common Sense Fly Fishing August 16, 2010 Martin Kollman (Lawrence, KS) I had heard Eric talk about fishing out in his area and how he thought these 7 lessons would help most fishers or are ones they tend to forget. He covers some great tips to looking at water and what trout are wanting for food, which is what most new fly fishers have trouble with. I think this could be a good book for new fly fishers who are getting more indepth to their sport. Not saying it is the best, but a good one.
